hallelujah!

Well, I don't know if a new blog post deserves an hallelujah...or an amen...maybe just an 'it's about dang time'!
I am feeling relieved tonight. I got my christmas cards out, big weight off my shoulders. About 4 or 5 years ago I thought it would be funny to send out a 'bah humbug' letter instead of the typical 'we're a happy family' update letter. It's kind of theraputic...writing down all of the biggest idiotic mistakes and failures you've had as a family. And I think I'm doing my part to reassure all of my friends and family that whatever happens to them...I've probably done the same thing, only worse!
Anyhoo...
Here is a layout that was published (my first time) in Digital Artist Magazine!

oops, it's almost October already...

So it's been a month since my last post...whatta ya gonna do?
Is it wrong that I am counting the minutes until the kids bedtime? Only a little bit longer. Just because I have a new flavor of ice cream and the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy to watch. Another exciting Friday night!

a few to share...

Allright, I think I've got 4 or 5 pages done in the last 2 weeks...not too shabby!
Today was me and my hubbie's 9th wedding anniversary. We got to go out to eat tonight...it was a quick supper, at a restaurant right in town, but it was tasty AND peaceful! Can't complain.

Here we go...

oh, she's finally doing a blog post...

That's what Kor said when he saw me on the 'blogger' home page. Woohoo!!! Life's been moving fast over here. My kids used to see me on the computer scrapping all the time, now I'm busy proofing...
But today, we went to the beach. I was a good mom today!!! It was finally hot out, and tomorrow will be more of the same. I don't know if I can handle the beach again...if it was just the older two-that would be lovely...but the little man just can't handle it. His main goal is to get his feet nice and full of sand and water, then run as fast as he can to random strangers and their belongings...he stomps over laid out towels, rummages through bags, today he actually started to drink some ladies diet coke. Awesome.
Anyways, here's a few pages I've done in the past week or two.

One day till vacation

I'll share a few layouts before I head out...Tomorrow starts our 9th annual Girls Weekend. Although, after 9 years, we are hardly 'girls' anymore. We still try and act like we are 21...but we do tire out a bit sooner than we used to! I can't wait to relax on the lake WITHOUT any kids for 3 days...jealous?
After girls weekend, I get to spend a week on vacation with my family-which is equally exciting! The kid's get BOTH mommy and daddy 24/7 for a whole week...that doesn't happen often.
Have a happy Fourth of July!

Happy Hump Day.

Nothing much going on here...the kids are sleeping (ahhhh) and Kor got home from work early to dig about 500 more tree's on our land. SOME day-we are going to be living in the jungle, but right now-it's more of a field with acres of little sticks poking up.
Here's a page that will hopefully inspire summer to make an appearance in Minnesota.

Only 2...

Man, I used to make anywhere from 5 to 10 pages in a week...now I'm lucky if I do two!
I was busy today...I actually ventured out of the house with all three kids-doesn't happen very often! We met Grandma Klatt in Buffalo to listen to a kids band...they were really good. It only took 1/2 an hour for the kids to 'warm up' enough to go dance with all the other kids!
Here's a shot I took of all 3 crazies today-the boys matched-so I had to snap a few shots...they are all a little squinty-even though it was cloudy and nearly raining...

And here are my measly 2 layouts...

This one is using Krista's (sahlin studio) 'life's a beach' kit...

Waaaah, I'm getting old.

Okay, I won't rant and rave too much, just feeling a little blue is all. Yesterday, Lucy graduated from kindergarten...which means I officially am the parent of a 1st grader. Also, my b-day is tomorrow, in which I will be celebrating my 29th birthday for the third year in a row. During Lucy's graduation 'ceremony' yesterday, the teacher had them stand up, and she said "announcing the future class of 2021!!!! Doesn't that sound light years away? Well, it's not-in the blink of an eye she'll be pushing my wrinkled butt around in a wheelchair. Okay, I've gone too far-here are some layouts I've done.

coming soon....

I wish my brain understood computer code....that would make life that much easier. I've been attempting to start up an 'official' photography website, and I've gotten no further than the 'header' at the top of the page...and even that's not right. Hopefully, things will come together soon, and I will have a new web address that you MUST put in your 'favorites' folder!
But until then...
Here are 2 pages that I've done this week.

all aboard the blog train -woo woo!

Thanks for sticking with this long blog train, you've almost reached the end! You should have just come from Sharon's http://www.digitalcreations.typepad.com blog.

After you grab my quick page, head over to Happy Scrap Girl's blog http://happyscrapgirldesigns.blogspot.com/ I believe she is the 'caboose' of this blog train!

The theme of the kit is 'paradise'. When I hear the word 'paradise', I immediately think of lush tropical beaches and fruity cocktails. But right now, I would settle for something a little less extravagent....My new idea of paradise would be to wake up at my leisure to TOTAL silence. I would then pour a bowl of cereal and eat it right in front of my computer while I checked emails and blogs. I would scrap the day away with no children present, and no guilt either. My house would magically be clean, and I would be showered and dressed. Sigh, I could keep going, but you get the idea! I won't keep you any longer!

Keeping it in the family...

Sooo, as I mentioned in my previous post, I am on a new CT. For Sahlin Studio (aka, Krista my sister-in-law) I know she is going to do well, you should see her work on the computer....it scares me. She'll call me on the phone and I know that she is talking to me while answering emails, creating new designs and commenting in the gallery. Meanwhile, it takes me 20 minutes to do a simple blog post. But I digress...
Here is a preview of her very first kit on SALE now at Scrapmatters
