The girls go Urban!

hi all. Just thought I would share some pictures I took this weekend of Sophie and Lucy. Had to test out my new camera, ya know? Let me know what you think. We took these down in Rochester, where there is a cool downtown area. I have searched Buffalo for a similar 'location' and it is pretty slim pickings! Oh well. Sorry there aren't many scrapping pages, this weekend is NATIONAL SCRAPPING DAY. So all my Designer gals are waiting to release kits until Friday...

new camera-wooohooo!

I finally got it...my new camera. I've always used Canon's and I made the switch to Nikon. I spent an hour this morning trying to figure out why I couldn't take a picture. That's always a good sign! I had the lens set wrong, so all is well now, I just felt like an idiot... nothing new. I still have SO much to learn...and buy-but I suppose I better make some money before I spend any more. A wise man once told me that. Allright, it was more of a cranky husband, but who's counting?

Here are a few pics I took with my new camera tonight. We were hanging out in the 80 degree wind storm, it was great.

Oh, in other fabulous news...Brady is a WALKER! He is so dang pleased with himself, he just toddles all around on his tiny fat feet. You would think that since this is my 3rd kid, I would be a bit more blase (sp?) about the whole thing, but I am one proud momma!

spring has arrived...finally!

Well, it's finally warm enough outside to make me happy. I didn't have to put coat/hats/mittens on the kids today-and that alone makes me SO happy! The kids got a new play house/slide deal. Grandma found a good deal,(of course) so Korey brought it home last night. That should keep the kiddos busy for a while!

stop crying!

Agghh....Brady is crying thru his afternoon nap, just like he cried thru the whole night last night. Not sure if it is teething, a cold, or just plain stubborness, but he is refusing to sleep. Instead he has adopted a new shrill screech which he executes randomly in between crying jags. Lovely.
I worked yesterday at Great Photos. I did no less than 14 portrait sessions. With bunnies. I am exhausted, I am no spring chicken anymore, I guess!

In other news...I am attempting to officially start a small photography business of my own. Probably not the BEST idea in this economy, but I feel like it's time I stepped out on my own. Plus I hate driving all the way to Golden Valley all the time. Here are a few pictures I took of a cute little 8 day old guy last week. We did these in my living room with window lighting and a black bedsheet!! Not too bad, huh? I definitely need a new camera and some real backdrops...and some studio lighting...oh the list goes on!
